You are doing great! Singing and dancing is definitely helpful. I'm still doing it to this day. Its like you haven't really heard music in a long time and it sounds so good! So are you! Congratulations on a full week of freedom tomorrow!
Day 6 yeh! Just had epsom salt bath and really hoping it helps with the restless legs tonight they drive me insane! Am so excited about being drug free, withdrawals have been horrible but I have to say this time round I've found it easier to stay positive. Have been able to go and about more so the exercise helps, I go for long drives and short walks and of course sing along to the radio while driving! Never thought I could feel this positive in withdrawal but I keep thinking about life drug free and how i never want to have to go through wd's again and that stops me slipping. Keep going everyone!
You are so right in it and i actually felt a knot in my stomach when u mentioned day 5. I came off of a high dose of suboxone ( took for almost 7 yrs) in january, 2014, and i hear ya! Your attitude is so awesome...its sounds like u want it really bad! I did the same thing with the music....lots of anthem type ballads to keep me motivated...dance music to try and get off my *** at points...and funny! If u can find funny music, that will help more than u will know! Lots of epsom salt baths, vitamins, good healthy foods, etc...but u sound like u know this. I was just so takem back by your reference to music, b/c i used the hell out of it for detoxing! Good luck to u and keep posting to keep us i formed of how your doing!
Glad your six days clean...that's great. Glad your posting what helps...doesn't it feel good to know your not alone in all this? do you go to any aftercare meetings? Did you taper or just quit cold turkey? Hope your feeling good...I'm so proud of you
