Day 5

Tummy hurts today. A little tired. I had to forcé myself to eat a banana. And bananas gag me. Lol. But i am pushing thru.

Oh lord. I just drank one of those  boost drinks. I forgot to shake it and on  the last sip I got a mouthful of clotty gunky stuff. Lol. My mind isnt working well right now.                           I just have little energy today. Hoping that will help some.

anxiety seemed to be heightened for me during the first 3 weeks of detox, but then slowly went away.  It is hard to tell what is detox related & what is an underlying issue at first.  Hang in there, 5 days is a huge turning point for the physical w/ds!

I have had anxiety issues for over 10 years and am on 1mg Xanax 3 times daily for it....if it is just temporary try to make it through Xanax are addictive as well though I hate taking them (only when necessary I hate downers). Bit if it keeps up I would check citalopram and Lexapro also work well for anxiety over the long term and they are not addictive.  Good luck

Thanks all. I will get some of those shakes. The anxiety is also an issue. Should I see a doctor about that?

Congrats on day 5.  You are about thru with the worst of it.  Make sure you drink lots of good fluids, and just like Mcr said, try and drink protien shakes.  You can get thru this.  Im on day 11 and feel so much better than day 5.  Dont expect miracles, because you have put your body through alot.  It wont magically be "back to normal".  It is a healing "process" that takes time.  just know that it gets better every day.  I still have my back pain and rls, but not near as bad.  The fog clears from the brain, and your emotions start to come back.  hang in there.  We are all here for you!  

Congrats Mcr on day 7.  Gets better doesnt it?  :-)

Hi dede!!! Great job on day 5 woo hoo. It's time to do a little happy dance!!! Wow this coffee is strong this morning lol. Anyways I've not yet talked to u. But great job. Day 5 better then 4 but still it was rough. Head should be coming out of the fog soon!!! Eat and stay hydrated. Trust me u will feel so so much better .... Do the shakes if u can. If not eat 5-6 small snacks/ meals during the day. U will get energy from the food and actually feel better.... Ur doing great so proud of u!!!! Hang in there ok. Big hugs

Congrats on day 5.  That was the last hard one on me so far.  I am on 7 and feel 100% better than 5.  I still have no appetite and have lost 15 pounds but it is all worth it.  We are all in this together.  Don't stray from the path and I've been taking the ensure protein shakes for 2 days and they do help.  Good luck you are just about through the worst
