Jeff- Take a whole pill so you get on top of that pain; it's very important to do that. Then, have someone hold your pills and only give you one when you need relief from pain.
Oh God, I don't want to go back to Tramadol. I took it for 8yrs. But I did take 1/2 of the percocet cause the pain was driving me crazy but now I feel like this is going to spark my addiction.
Oops, NOT tramadol, only toradol,
***************** is what's missing......best of luck......
I appreciate the fact you don't want to use percocet. I assume you're trying to stay away from narcotics, but as the Advil isn't working, there is something else that is regularly given to addicts for up to five days, called Tramadol, and in conjunction with Paracetamol. Maybe this could be the answer for your pain?
Eugenol (oil of cloves) in some form is usually used by the dentist. Here's a website that contains useful info on treating your dry socket. I'm sure you're dentist has given you a topical to treat your dry socket, and if not, you can ask him about Eugenol, for home use.

Toradol is a drug that is used for up to 5 days, and it's not a narcotic. It's often prescribed for addicts. I found an article that suggests the use of paracetamol used in conjunction with the tramadol.
This website discusses using Oil of Cloves (Eugenol)

Also, a website discussing pain meds for addicts using Toradol and Paracetamol in conjunction.

Q Will frequent use of paracetamol products cause addiction?
A No. There is no physiological mechanism by which anyone can become addicted to paracetamol. There have been reports of addiction to combination products where paracetamol is combined with an opioid medicine, but this has nothing to do with the paracetamol component.
Hope you feel better.
I think a "dry socket" is the most painful dental complication. It takes a few days to improve and I know I would take something for the pain.
If you think that would damage your sobriety than that's your choice but it certainly wouldn't mean you relapsed.
I hope you're better very soon!
listen, i have had dry socket myself and it is the absolute worst. is there anyone who can hold your pain meds and give them to you as prescribed? in my opinion you need those meds right now.
