Better than yesterday

Hi Everyone. Day 12 of C/T withdrawals of Oxy and I am feeling better. I awoke pretty anxious this morning (again) but I didn't feel like crying (like yesterday). Going to work, talking on the phone, paying bills....all these things that were sooooo easy to do when I was even a little high seem to be dragging me down. But I have recognized that when I finally do get up and face the day that it's not all as bad as it seems. Last night I had my first dream since quiting Oxy. I think that's a good sign. Thank you everyone for being here and talking about this. I felt like I was going to lose my mind yesterday and if it wasn't for this forum I think I would have had an anxiety attack. Thanks to all of you who reached out.

The heating pad helps the tummy too. :) I wish I knew about Clonodine before, it sounds like it helps with the whole rapid heart beat thing. I think that part of the reason you are doing so well is your determination. You have prepared yourself for the worst and you are ready to kick this thing. I don't think it's all luck (although it helps sometimes).

Please let me know if you need anything. Even if it's just assurance. Lord knows I leaned on you last week, and you didn't even know it :)

Oh!!!!  Thank you!!!!  And I will try the heating pad, thank you again... the weird thing is, I slept like a dog last night!!  May be the Clonodine, may simply be something bigger than me, if ya know what I'm sayin'..

So remarkably.. I feel ok.  I don't know what's up, but I am just gonna be greatful.  Tired, tummy stuff, but so far, that's about it. Tired like, I probably won't leave the house today anymore (lol) but I even took a walk this morning which is beyond me... like I said I am just GREATFUL and will take it moment by moment...

Thank you for asking about me.  If you need anything, just give a holler, k?

with luv...

Thanks. I know you are going through this too and I really am inspired by your posts. And you are right, next week I will feel that much better than I did this week and so on (and you too)... I set little, achievable goals like: if I make it to the weekend I will be ok. if I can just wash these dishes I will be ok....

How are you feeling? Are you on day 2? Have you been sleeping. I have to say that one of the things that helped me through the first few days was the heating pad I bought at wallgreens. It was like 15 bucks and it numbs the muscle pain. I lay on it almost every night and it helps me relax.

Hang in there. We are all on your team!

HI.... I think having the dream is a very good sign.. I would guess that means your brain is starting to repair itself... Yay!

I also bet in about a week you are gonna feel 100% better... ok, at minimum, 75%..lol. Seriously.

Good for you, really.  Feel proud...
