that is good that you are reducing your dose.  Every little bit that you can cut back is going to make your life so much easier when you finally stop.  I tapered down and finally stopped which made it so much easier.  Let us know how you are doing.

Your headed in the right direction, keep on track. Each day you reduce will help you when you finally stop. Stay busy, eat healthy and if you get headaches remember it ic probably caused from not having your full dose. Just know they will pass. YOU CAN DO THIS!

So today I didn't make it to the doctors because of work and I still took some nurofen. Not as many as every other day, today was only four Wich is almost half of what i usually take.
I'm going to try get in tomorrow and see the doc but if I can't I'm going to aim at only taking 3 a day so I'm not making unrealistic goals.
Either way I think I'm on the right path.

Thanks for your advice I really appreciate it. I do most of the things you mentioned e.g eat right, gym and drink plenty of water. I have also told my partner and all my family about it now so it not like im hiding it and trying to do it alone. Wich Im hoping it will make it that little bit easier now I have people to talk to about it.
Hopefully my next post will be.. I'm clean and never going back!!!
Once again thank you for your reply and take care :)

HI!  I think that "failing" is giving up and not trying anymore.  As long as you're willing to get back up and try again, you have not failed.  I know that in Australia it can be bought OTC, and that has to make it really hard, so you will have to really be strong, get some support and have your mind made up that there is NO way you're going to take another one.  Forget that you can even buy them.

You are going to have some headaches while you detox from any narcotic. Just have a good attitude but be prepared for the headache and have some alternative OTC med to take like Excedrin Migraine or BC Powder if they have those there.  They work as well as anything, but you will probably have a dull headache for a while.  I know that's not good news.  Sorry : (

Get out and get a little exercise and drink lots of apple juice and gatorade and water.  Staying hydrated will help lots of things, including the headache.  Don't forget to eat properly.  Toast, soup, crackers etc.

If you can, go to an NA meeting ASAP.  Having support is most important during this if you don't want it to keep happening over and over!!  It's a MUST to have some form of aftercare.  Maybe even a counselor?

Be willing to do whatever it takes to stay clean!  And you'll get there!  In the meantime, do the things I suggested and it'll be easier on you! Good luck!
