Falling

The only thing keeping me from falling off the wagon right now is the fact that my car isn't here. I already know what I'd pawn to buy. I've alrwady had two anxiety attacks today. I try keeping busy but it's been a really tough day.  I've drank a pot of coffee just to get the energy to go. I miss having more energy.  Does this ever stop??  I quit coke/speed years ago and fooled myself into thinking I was clean cuz I was talking legal stuff. Now I've had nothing for about a month. The withdrawl pains are gone but the craving is killing me. When does it stop. My brother tells me I should find a meeting. I've spent years trying to hide my problems, except to him and my husband. Idk if i can. Do meetings help you guys?

Thanks you guys for all the input. I'm definitely going to look inton finding a meeting asap. I'm also going to check out those vitamins. My husband has been telling me forever to try it. I guess it's time. I never really thought of coffee as a trigger, but it really does make sense now that you said it. It does leave me wanting mire, which is why I drink it all day. Thanks a lot you guys. This site really does help me

Some people swear by them. My philosophy is if you think you may need them, then you probably do. What can it hurt? Give it a shot, you aren't hurting anyone or yourself.

You've made it this far, don't relapse. You know it's not worth it, right? Just think of the hell you have been through to get here. Want to go through that again?

Try a meeting. If you don't like it, you don't go back. If you like it? There's your answer on how to cope. Good luck.

I can't tell you much but I learned [of course the hard way] that caffienated coffee sets of urges. I am also a smoker. I quit last year for six months thought I was clear of that. I got so stressed the only thing I could think to do was have a cig. Boy was that the wrong choice, it set my withdrawals on fire. I love coffee. Have your been reading many of the posts here. Lots of good info, including the thomas recipe which you can scroll down on this page on the lower right, read about the nurtrients to help fix our brain. Hang in here, more people will be along.

Hello Kelseago, welcome to the community. The tired loss of energy is the kicker that kept me addicted everytime I tried to quit in the past (until this time) so I know just how you feel. That craving of just knowing that a couple of pills would set me straight and let me get on with life. But that's a dead end and I think you know that. You've got a month under your belt, that's so awesome! You are about to emerge into the other side of having quit where things start to feel normal again. And when I say normal I mean energy is back, brighter outlook on life is back, appreciating all of the blessing around you is back you just need to keep hanging on. It does get better.
Are you taking any kind of supplements? Niacin, super B complex and a multivitamin have done wonders for me. It took two or three days to be absorbed and to take affect but I was sure blown away by the results.

Don't throw away your month of sobriety. It'll get better, I promise. Stick around here and keep posting and reading, it helps more than you might think.
30 days, that's just awesome.

Here is the link to the meeting locator:

http://portaltools.na.org/portaltools/MeetingLoc/

If you don't have a ride, call them and they often will provide a driver who will pick you up and bring you back.

The least you owe yourself is to try the meetings before you use. I hope you make it.
