Hey there! I had the night sweats on and off for 40 something days! I thought I must have a serious medical condition I was unaware of because of the pills. Thankfully they are completely gone now (I'm on 55 days now). So I wouldn't worry. Some people just have some nagging lingering symptoms! It's not a bad idea to get a check up just to be sure though. Hang in there. It will go away!!
deep breaths... patience.. it will pass. i promise
I had the the same thing - it was really bad in the beginning. And then it stopped for a while and then returned again about two months later. It was so uncomfortable and it drove me crazy. I wondered if it might be hormones, so it is a good idea to be checked out to make sure all is okay. But it is a common symptom.
I would use a cold cloth - I'd keep it in bed with me and when I started to "overheat" I would put the cold cloth on my head (what a picture I must have been - yuck!) and then when I got cold, I'd take it off and leave it on the bed so when I began to "overheat" again, it would be there for me to use. Yes, a lot of back n forth but it helped a lot.
Good luck to you - keep reading and keep posting! :)
thank you for answering i will keep you updated! maybe its just me not knowing if im withdrawing or not its been sooo long since i was sober.
I find it interesting how we all go thru pretty much the same symptoms during withdrawal but with some of us certain symptoms last much longer. The body temp regulator being off was one of the things that really bothered the hell out of me too. I would be wearing a t-shirt, a shirt and a sweater inside my house with the temp set at 72 and still be cold. I could not take the trash out without bundeling up like crazy. The next few minutes, I would be peeling it all off cuz I was soaked with sweat. That part did pass for me in about 10 days. Hang in there, you're close. Day 27- 4 me
Two weeks is a long time for you to be still feeling the sweats that bad. Are you certain it is still from the withdrawal? I always suggest that after we get clean we get a good check-up, complete with blood work, just to be sure everything is okay. It could be something else is going on and it may be something simple that can be controlled.
I hope you get it checked out and I also hope you get to feeling better soon. Let us know how you do.
