Struggling with Fioricet. Anyone out there??

You posted back on October 28th and I responded to you.  I hope you come back so we can talk. Whatever you do, don't stop the Fioricet abruptly. It must be tapered.

Be CAREFUL.   Fiorcet is prescribed sometimes for migraines. It contains barbituates, acetaminophen, and caffeine.  

Barbituates are dangerous to come off of, and should only be done under medical supervision.    PLEASE talk to a doctor and don't try this on your own.

This type of drug is a major CNS depressant...its also a pretty old-line cure.   (barbs are what supposedly killed Marilyn Monroe, although she took a variant:  Nembutal.)

I'd be surprised if you could buy these off the street; are they prescribed for you, or are you getting them from a friend who has a prescription?  

Keep posting...we're here to support you, but betting off of this type of drug, as I said, is not something you can or should do on your own.

Hi, is Fioricet the one w/ barbituate and codeine in it? Sorry, I forgot.

Can you give more info..how much you are on? How long? Prescribed? etc etc.
