Fluid in my lungs & chest pain.. Endocartis?

I went to the ER Saturday night I was having pain all the way from my sholder down into my ribs front and back and if I yawned or breathed hard it felt like someone was stabbing me with a knife in the ribs. The docter did a chest XRay and saw there was fluid in my right lung where all the pain is. He put me on a antibiotic and says he thinks it may be phenomia..sent me home to get results in 3 days. I got the results and its negative for phenomia. It's now Weds. and it doesn't feel like it's getting any better. I am having chest pain with it..I am 21 years old...I'm worried that it may be a heart infection called endocartis b.c I used to IV drugs..im better now but really scared my using may be the cause of this..Ive been having fevers for months now and chest pain. I'm really scared..does anybody know what this could be?!

Are you still using drugs?  Please get ahold of your doctor.

You need to tell the doctor your history. Yes,it could be endocarditis but we aren't doctors here so it's just a guess.

Call the doctor in the morning and let us know how you are...
