Tappering off oxy anyone know about the sweats?

I have tappered from 100mgs a day to 40mgs in just two weeks.  I feel real good about this and I can't wait to go to the doctor next week and say no I don't need 120 pills anymore.  That will be such a good feeling.  But I have been either freezing cold all nite awake also these sweats.  I just keep telling myself no you don't need another pill.  that will not help you have come to far....Has anyone had the sweats??

Try getting some meletonin or some valerian root from ur local pharmacy store to help u get some sleep at night. Also take a nice long shower in water temperature that suites ur comfort

sweats are common...i had a whole bunch of other things going on with my body...at 10 days i am still going throughwithdrawals...i still get the sweats....very cranky, don't say the wrong thing to me either..i will start to cry, never mind the stomach cramps...OH YEAH NOT A FUN THING... i could never start them withdrawals again...so i think that is what is going to stop me from ever taking a pain pill again

This is a common side effect of withdrawal. Even if you are tapering, your body is withdrawing.

Oh, definitely. I had the sweats at night and during the day. They went away after a week or so. But that is really common.

Yes, I have cold and hot sweats all day long. It will get better though. Your body just has to get use to the withdraw of the high dose. Just be glad you are not experiencing stomach pains as well.
