And I won't take any tomorrow or for a couple days... What a load of crap!!!! Lol. It's literally making my mouth water just thinking about it. Thanks guys!! Ya movies n music all day.  Today ***** but I can feel I'm kinda turning that corner so to speak.  Only feel like half zombie today lol.  I just hope n pray this will be the last time I put myself through this.  Triggers mmmmmm I actually had a horrible 2013 and it's what kinda started all this. I got divorced. Mom got cancer. My older passed away from OD. And my dog who I loved so passed at 12. So I just broke down. Started stuffing my face full of drugs and didn't look back until it was to late!!

You should try to watch a funny movie or just sit down and write.  Anything to distract your mind is going to help you start training it to find a distraction when your thoughts get too obsessive.  You won't notice it quickly but doing things to distract yourself is very important.  If you are not working as hard on your recovery as you were trying to use than you need to fight harder.  I am not saying this to be mean or condescending I have just been through it so many times that I know little tricks to speed it up.  Most of the time after the acute withdraws we have a tendency to just sit and wish for it to get better.  Day 4 is a good day to start although you will be limited on what you can do that will release a little dopamine.  I'll give you something to read that will distract you for a second and make you think:
This is called Relapse

I fought with a vengeance but I couldn't stay sober
I swallowed the pill and I started all over
All I know are addicts from my friends to my mama
Non-stop triggers and everyday drama
I didn't have money, I didn't own a car
Running on a treadmill you never get far
Support is hard to come by in this one horse town
With no leg to stand on I was bound to fall down
One is too many and a thousand's not enough
I swallowed my pride and stopped acting tough
Had I not asked for help the outcome was bleak
I could never be strong if I never felt weak
I'm moving away, I'm gonna stay sober
I have a new chance to start it all over
You can also call someone if you have someone to call.  Good luck

I'm glad you saw that quote. As addicts, most of us want instant gratification. If we quit and are pure at heart and intention, we expect to feel better. I felt guilty for not working as hard and being a happy dad. When I finally accepted that it was for everyone's best interest that. I got clean, I was able to surrender to the process easier. When I was asked, "did you.....today?" I always said, "no, but I didn't use drugs either, so it was a successful day. I look back and realize I added several ears to my life, so I was right to make any sacrifice necessary to get off drugs. I have time to do all the things I thought I "had" to do during detox, but didn't. I get the rest of my life to do whatever I want to now. I didn't use, I searched for new ways to escape, deal with pain, and build true relationships, all the rest works itself out. Congrats on 4 days, you have so much to look forward to, so hang in there and keep reaching out for help and support. Asking for help is a sign of leadership and strength, thinking we are strong enough or good enough to do it alone is self-centered and a sign of renegade. In glad you are here, even after years, it keeps getting better. Way to go on your progress.

can you rent movies thru Netflix or some other cable program?  Watching movies non stop really will help the time fly by.  Do you have any friends/family that can keep you company?

You said you have been thru this before.  Do you know what your triggers are?  My main trigger is my husband being verbally abusive and also legitimate pain.

Ya I've lost a lot already to all the money spent on them things. In the past keeping busy has helped a ton when going thru wds.  This time for some reason I've just been locked in the house for the last 4 days

are you able to keep busy?  That may help.  One thing that I had a friend suggest to me is add up all the money you have been spending on the pills and think about what other items you could have used that money for.

Also, what do you have to show for the money spend on pills?  Absolutely nothing, right?  The pills are such a waste.

I hope you hang in there.  Today is just my day one - only a few hours in so I hope I have helped at least a little.
