Some habits are hard to break but i did today! Day 10!

There was moment today when i was sitting outside of my office smoking a cigarrette reflecting on my stressful, deadline filled morning- i put out my cigarrette and thought "i better take another pill".. Then i realized I hadn't taken any in 10 days!! Because that was my routine at work - that thought/memory/habit came back for a moment. I feel like now that my  wd's are manageable that i need to work on myself and creating a new me. Because i don't remember what the old me did daily. I also thought maybe the feeling "normal" part im looking for wasn't even me!! It was the Norco in my brain..Anyone that is going through wd's right now, please know that at 10 days, i feel like my life has changed and i actually wanna feel everything new!

This is very good, you have realized that  you need working on a new life without the pills... as you have said there are habits, thoughts that you need breaking and changing... it may take some time and learning some tools is the best way,, aftercare, NA, therapy, counselling.. whatever it may work for you is a great help now , Kitas

hey cpongrats on day 10 itsonly going to get better from her nows the time to put some form of aftercare in place to beet the mind screw thats to com as addicts we need to change the very way we think and reason both N/A and A/A have free programs there are also substances abuse conslors as well as therapists if you prefer 1 on 1 most major heath ins covers it .....all the best to you in your recovery good luck and GOD BLESS........Gnarly
