I'm sorry, yes I am still taking the hydro's, now about 16 10's or 20 7.5's daily. I have lost the wieght in the past two years, however about 11# in the past 3 wks. I thought it was possibly the hydro on an empty stomach that was causing me to get sick, so I have cut back, but like I said am afraid of withdrawal, I am currently eating very little and sleeping a lot. My daughter knows about my problem (age 28) and is begging me to go to the hospital. I am a very busy employee, and am hoping that it will go away. I just wanted to know if anyone had experienced this before. I have a lot of stress at work and have been told that I might have an ulcer.Please help??

ok, i've been a heavy abuser of hydros ( much more than you )  for a long, long time ( 15 years ) and i'm 15 days clean today. don't be afraid, if i can do it ( ct ) then, it can be done. For the last 2 years, when i really abused my  otherwise usually high amount of them  i started having bad headaches, nausea and vomiting ( among other things except i never took  them to sleep, just the opposite  and only if exceeding the high number of pills i used to take did i feel nausea and so on ) that was when i went ct first time ( with a little help of lorazepam and what you call clonedine,sthing  to lower bp, i think and only  for the first  days ) . I stayed clean 4 months and relapsed. It was a terrible 1st  week of wds ( the worst flu )  and almost three weeks or so with huge stomach cramps, no sleep and the biggest rls, depression, cravings,.....but i went through them, i was so determined and maybe i was afterall in not bad shape, don't know . After a  month or so  i started feeling  better, even great considering what i went through.

but this time, i can swear  wds ( ct again)  being the same seem to me sooo different than last year that  i can not believe it! The reason is that i've been following each  advise i thought it could help me and suit me when i read them given to others, and they do help ! The aminos/thomas, and what i read in the posts before going ct ( i tried to learnt as much as possible before doing it cause last year ct was really hard  for me !  ) and the experiences from other people here have really made the difference for me, and....here i'm 15 days clean.

Each one is different ...you know but if i can be of any help to you .... feel free to pm,, pls, anyone with big fear of going ct with hydros. I have no idea about other docs and that's why i don't like giving  my opinion about them , but going ct with hydros, i do know  ( : )) good luck whatever you decide.

I don't know how your liver can process that amount of medicine a day everyday.  What is your plan?  Did you see the posts about the possibility of securing free Suboxone.  You don't need to live like this.  I hear about the bills and bank account, but 19 hydros a day has got to cost you doctor shopping visits, large pharmacy bills.  Have your good money chase after good results.  Find, plead, make deals, finance, whatever it takes to get on Suboxone.  Your cravings both physical and psycholgical will come to an end, no ****.  I was on morphine, percocetts, roxi's, etc. and my usage was totally out of control.
3 car wrecks and a family that decided enough was enough by moving out.  Do it!  Borrow the money if anyone will still lend it to you.  PM me if you want further info.

My stomach problems finally cleared up about a week ago, however I am still taking the hydro's approx. 15 10/325's throughout the day. I am still working, but as soon as I get home I take my dose and go to sleep, i wake up about 330am and take 7 more to sleep until 7am. I have no money in my bank account and am behind on all my bills! I have no where to turn for help. There is a treatment center here but mostly focused on alcohol, no pain rx counselors, I've called some local dr's asking if they could help with treatment, but they are all pain management and dont offer any help. I will have to go ct as I am unable to taper, I have been trying it but cant make any progress. Thank you all, I read all the posts and feel for everyone having the same problems. my prayers go out to you all. My parents were both Christians and that is what I want to be, I beleive that is the only thing that will help me through this. I have 2 children and 4 grandchildren who need me. I keep telling myself that, but it doesnt help when it comes to wanting the pills.

Thanks for sharing your situation with us.  Sounds to me like you're experiencing withdrawal symptoms even though you're still using.  That is a lot of pills to take daily.  That amount over a long period of time could effect your stomach lining.  I don't think you should panic and go to ER.  Do you have access to any benzos while you're tapering off?  Those can handle the trembles and anxiety attacks.  If you can eat, eat oatmeal.  Important to have roughage in that stomach.  You're probably going to be running to the toilet frequently as you taper.  Most of all, don't panic.  I'm sorry that your child is involved, but she doesn't understand the world you've gotten yourself in.  She just wants her mommy back.  Keep posting.  We'll walk you through it.

but you REALLY have to want to.  and you will have to try something new.

at that dose, you could really OD.  i can't imagine you want that.

please, please get outside help.  you deserve to be clean and happy.  and it can be done...

Ok, so i do not believe that the pills have anything to do with whats going on with you! You sound very sick....like a very strong virus!!! If i were you, i would go to the doctors. Who say's they will even keep you!?!? Know what i mean!!! They will probobly just diagnose you. Not only that, but you get a legit script right? Well, if so then regardless of who you are, taking them for that long will cause anybody to go into W/D's once they stop taking them. So if you are admitted into the hospital, then there is no way they would just completely stop your med's! If they did then tell them that the w/d's are kicking your *** and they will give you a dose. They don't need to know how many you are taking a day.............unless your sickness is caused by them, which i HIGHLY doubt!!! But don't panic, just go to the hospital and see whats up! Also, liver toxisity would have you flat on your *** withinn 5 days at the most and you could quite possibly be dead by day 6. So if this has been going on for 3 weeks, then just go to the ER. It's not caused by the hydro's!!!

If you have benifits go to a doctor. If not start to taper off then just stop all together and try to use the thomas recipe. I didnt use it but heard alot of good things about it. I was too takeing hydro's this is day 3 for me with no pills day one and two i litterly thought i would die but here i am talking to you. Immodium helped me out alot i drank a whole large bottle yesterday i know thats alot but i keep food down and no diaria. The stomach is the worst part i think. If you cant find the thomas recipe in the hellth pages let me know i would be happy to send it to you. I too lost alot of weight because of hydro's not good they eat up the lining in your stomach you need to get some liver aid also just go look up the thomas recipe. Plz try to keep things on one thread it gets very confusing if you don't. If this was going to clear its self up it would have in three weeks I have not heard of anyone here having an issue like that unless they were ill.again you are risking your health because of your addiction .seek help.
