HOW LONG DOES SUBOXONE WITHDRAW LAST

I have been taking suboxone since 2011. I started out at 8mg a day and did pretty good on it, I didnt take more than i was suppose to, but once I got dropped down to 2mg a day, then i started taking more because i didnt feel like it was helping. I stopped going to my doctor and started buying it off the street and then I relized i am doing nothing different than when I was on pills. So I am trying to just stop taking suboxone cold turkey. To me that is the only way to stop. I was wondering if anyone out there has been through this and how does it take to start feeling normal again. I have only been 2 days clean. My main symptom is no energy at all. I could sleep the whole day away no problem if i didnt have to get up and live my life. If there is anyone that could give me some advice and encourgement please do

Congrats on your efforts so far! I jumped off sub after 2 years of use almost 3 years ago. My final dose was 3 mg.  The withdrawal process is different for everyone, however for me the biggest issues were RLS, anxiety, and the inability to sleep.  The worst of my symptoms were over in 2-3 weeks, and the sleep came back about another 3 weeks later.  6 weeks total of less than 2 hours of sleep a night, and just when I thought I was going to lose it.... I started seeing glimpses of my old self again.

Lots of fluids, and forcing yourself to exercise is paramount! You have to push through and continue on with your life like nothing is happening or it will get the best of you. I was working as a flight attendant for the military when I detoxed. I had a few days off in my schedule, and that's when I jumped, and went back to work a few days in... The remainder of my withdrawal was spent working 16+ hour flights back and forth to the Middle East and withdrawing overseas away from my family. It was hell but in hind sight, what got me through it.

Fast forward 3 years later, and I'm still here and still clean! There aren't a lot of success stories out there regarding sub but, you CAN and will do this.  :-)

Hello, Ive been taking subs for 1 year and tried to taper and quit last month but couldnt get pass taking 4mg. My legs hurt so bad, like I had been in a car accident. My energy non exsistant, and cried all day. I wish you the best in quitting cus I know its darn hard to do. I see my doc every month and am down from 45 a month to 15 films, which is good. However, I do want to quit and be free from them altogether. I just started a new job and really need to keep it to support my daughter. That is the only reason I stayed at 4mg. I couldnt function at work and was so afraid of getting fired it was causing me to freak out. Hot showers, lots of water, green tea, and I bought this lotion with chamomile and peppermint oil, it works great. Makes your legs feel cool and stops the achey feeling. Also taking Vit D and B6, B12 and Biotin. The stress from all of this was making my hair fall out so the Biotin really helps. Also if you have someone to cheer you on that is really helpful. Good luck to you!!

Hi!  Welcome...  I have no experience with subs but several on here do and can offer their help.  You are 2 days clean...that's great!  I know you are tired.  I'm 4 days off Norco and I feel exhausted too.  It will pass.  Others will be along soon to offer help and advice.  Best of luck!
