Day 3 is usually the hardest for me.  The worst of it is almost over so hang in there.  As for sleep, not to much helps during the initial withdrawals.  You just have to be okay with it and be grateful that you got a couple of hours.
You can try melatonin, alteril, benadryl, sleepy time teas, etc.  Different things work for different people.  I have found that what works one night doesn't work the next.
Sleep does take awhile to come back so be patient knowing that it will return and sleep when you can.  I found if I went too long without sleep it would bring on anxiety so I didn't care if it was night or day, I just slept for a couple of hours when I could.

i agree with Bright.....not much helps during the first few days but time....BUT it does get better, promise....just hang in there....hot baths at night....melatonin does help me....or Alteril....not both at same time tho.

hope you get some sleep soon....hang tough!

Melatonin helped some but honestly in the beginning (the first week or two) nothing really helped much except time....I was never a good sleeper and now I sleep better than I ever have (without taking anything)...sleep will come back slowly but surely :)

Hot baths with Epsom salts and some hylands restful legs to help calm those legs at night! Also a little exercise during the day goes a long way...even if its just a walk.
