Help Please!! would like to know around how many mgs for a smooth detox!!

Hello friends, i need help ASAP please respond to this post...Long story short, I live in New Jersey and I've been on suboxone 16mgs for almost a year now... about 2 months ago i dropped my dose to 12mgs daily. The main issue is I recently moved to Panama City, Panama about 1 month ago and brought approx a 45 day supply with me. I went to an addiction specialist here in Panama yesterday and told the doctor my situation. At the end of the session the doctor and I agreed that I should still be on the suboxone. While still in the office the doctor called the main/biggest pharmacy here in panama and asked for bupreorphine(suboxone/subutex) either would be fine. The pharmacist the told my doctor she had never heard of this medication before and its not available in all of Panama. Im now left with about 8 8mg pills now and going to have to use them for a sjort and rapid detox unfortinately. I would truly appreatiate and advice or suggestions about how to approach this as smoothly and comfortably as possible. Hopefully someone can help me! Thankss!!

Hi. We can't help with tapering instructions here, but call that doctor back. He should help you out with this. There are other meds he can give you if you need help!  And he should help you with a plan for what to do from here.

Good luck!

The girl that started this thread might be able to help you out some with what to expect if you are unable to follow thru with what the doctor was wanting to do if in fact they don't have suboxone down there (I find that hard to believe though)...Take a look and maybe write her a note.
