Most definitely count your blessings, it seems like you are one of the very unique ones that can come off methadone with a lower WD level of problems. Great job thus far going 32 days off such as high dose. The stomach issues hung around me for about 2 months as well and I just came off 20mg. One of my greatest relief processes for the all symptoms was exercising and sweating it out in a sauna/steamroom at the Y, that and the protein shake/amino acid protocols. I wish you continued success on your recovery.
HI cooming off that much methadone at once is going to threw you for a loop....if you can make it to a doctor theirs a prescription called lomotal that will slow you back down
how are you doing sleeping wise??? and how is your energy?? those are probably the 2 biggest complaints I here...also go nutrition helps a lot go to the local walmart and pick up some whey protein shake mix the chocolate is good and it is loaded with vitamins essential amino acids as well as the protein all of witch the brain needs to heel your actually doing supizingly well coming off 100mg and only into it a month I was sick for 90 days as are most people coming off a dose like that count your blessings any way give the stuff I suggested a try and keep posting for support good luck and God bless......Gnarly
What a great job - 32 days off the methadone, that is fantastic. It was a pretty big dose so it makes sense that you are still having gastric problems - in my previous detoxes, once I have had diarrhea for a good two or three days and have purged everything from my system I take LOTS of immodium, as much as i need to to stop the runs - the reason being is that prolonged diarrhea drains you so much, dehydrates you, and makes it hard to absorb nutrients and energy from your food - and that is what you need more than anything now to recover your strength. As for the starving tummy in teh morning - I know that one very well, it wakes me in the middle of the night and it is like a ravenous feeling, a really uncomfortable empty tummy that demands something to be put into it. It is not exactly an appetite or a mouth hunger, but just a really uncomfortable feeling in stomach.
I can't tell you how long it will all last or how long til your headaches go - you have been through the hardest part already, just hang in there and gradually all the other bits get straightened out. Maybe see your doctor about the diarrhea? having had it for a month must be really annoying and difficult from the perspective of getting enough nutrients in.
Fantastic effort at getting off the 'done, very very well done.
