Help

I am a 51 year old successful professional blessed with beautiful family. I went through a lot of painful dental work and that led to abuse of Vicodine. I am working with a Dr. who put me on Suboxone and i abused that too. Long story short I want to get off Suboxone  and finding out I am in more trouble. I want to get my life back free of any medications. Please help and suggest something

we cant suggest taper schedules, it is against forum rules. please contact your doctor for a  taper schedule. is there someone who can hold the meds for you? once you get a taper schedule so you can stick to the taper.

Hi Houston
A lot of us here are tapering from different meds.  I am tapering off of Opana.  Addiction effects us all.  I am a stay-at-home mom (with 3 degrees), educated as a nurse and a social worker.  I have become consumed with my taper from Opana ER.  Now I just have a couple weeks more to taper.  If I haven't successfully completed this by then, I am going for a medical detox.  After about 4 months of tapering my husband is (rightfully) tired of hearing about my taper.  We decided this option would work for me.  It is frustrating because I am on 1/4th of what I was on.  I am not sure why the last part is so hard.  I pray for you on your taper.  Please keep posting frequently.
