Herbs can help depression-non addictive

There are several herbs and vitamins that can aid the depression and you don't have to worry about actual dependence.

5-htp is a serotonin precursor, St John's Wort is also one of the steps in neurotransmitter synthesis pathway. Kava kava is supposed to help mellow folks out-did nothing for me. Vitamin D3, a good B complex with inositol (a b vitamin) with a slow release bit C. A mineral supplement, omega 3's, make sure the mineral provides calcium, magnesium, selenium and zinc. Some have recommended magnesium citrate. It does help relax and ease muscle spasms but can cause diarrhea if you take too much.

Chamomile, hops, and so much more.

Try to get busy. That helps.

I take Natural Calm which is a magnesium citrate supplement when I am feeling anxious in the evening or having rls issues.  It totally calms me down and helps me sleep.  I follow the directions and take a low dose and do not have any bathroom issues.  It is a good alternative for folks to help with rls and anxiety when taken properly. Just thought I would share my experience since I use it semi-regularly :)

With any herb you have to make sure it doesn't interfere or react with any medication you take. At John Wort is one that can have reactions.

Magnesium citrate is what is used before you have a colonoscopy to clean all the stuff out of you. Do I would avoid thst. It will cause more than just diarrhea for sure.
