I will start by saying I am extremely proud of me today. I was rushed to the ER last night becuase I was keeled over in pain. Later today, after what seemed like 100 PAINFUL tests, they found that I had an 8cm cyst that ruptered. To make a long story short, I was offered Percocet for my pain, while in the hospital, and was also offered a script before my departure. I gracefully and proudly declined. Even though the pain is near unbearable, I just didn't want to say yes. I knew that one little taste, even though they were my DOC, would send me packing straight back to the three year vacation I was on with Oxy Contin. I had to come on and tell my friends. I never thought I could be this strong. How are you all? I miss and love you all. I hope that you are all having a great weekend...

i would hope by now from my replies and messages to you that you know what you and your story mean to me...your just awesome hun!!!  and i am so proud of you...you have found your inner strength and know how and when you need to use it, you have worked hard and are now reaping the benefits from it all  ( i think toradol is similar to ibuprofen, but much stronger, but dont quote me, my hubby used to get it often and it did help his pain)   you are a true inspiration girl!!!

Yankees...thanks so much. They gave me a shot of Toradol? Im still not sure what it is, but they said it was non-narcotic. They also gave me a script of it. But I never filled it. THanks!!

I know this is a day old post, but I was reading through and saw this.

I got a chill when I read it. You have come sssoooooooo far. You were struggling every day, hell, every minute when I first met you and here you are---proud of yourself. I bet you never thought you would say that! I am so proud too!!!!

I do hope you feel better. Avis made a good point...if you are taking antibiotics, don't stop them.

That is so awesome.  I've had a cyst rupture like that and it is so painful.  I am proud of you for refusing meds and working through the pain.  Be sure to rest up and drink lots of fluids to rehydrate yourself.  You are a real inspiration and I'm just so pleased for you.  I know you've been down a long road and you didn't deserve last night.  If it was a test, it was a cruel test but congrats for taking it on head first and doing well.  BRAVO!!!!!

ouchieeeeeeeeeee I get cysts like that too and they suck. Take it easy this weekend . If they gave you an antibiotic make sure you take it ..... I am so proud of you for not taking it !!!!

Trin!!!! I didn't see you were on too, I would have sent a HUGE HELLO to you too my friend. Thanks so much. I am ok now, cant walk really, but there is no shot I am going to start taking anything for ACTUAL pain, lol. I did the recreational thing and I think I am done. They did give me something non-narcotic, at my request. Its making me tired...but other then that, I am good. How is your weekend....

Girl good for you...sorry for the pain...I know that pain all too well, which is what started me taking pain meds, endo, cyst, very painfull..

I am sure you are more strong then you think. I would have never thought I would decline either. I had a typo above, Percocets were NOT my DOC, although they are also opiates, my DOC was Oxy Contin. THE MOTHER, of opiates...lol..

Congrats to you as well....45 days and counting, right?? Awesome...
