8 Days Sober

Wow, it is seriously incredible how much better I feel today compared to yesterday. I was still up most of the night, but am super grateful for the few hours of shuteye I did get. I just wanted to post this because this past week was extremely hard, but I am starting to realize that there is an end to this monster inside- which I wasn't so confident about a few days ago. To anyone who has made the brave decision to get clean and are only a few days in, IT GETS BETTER- and that's coming from me. I literally felt as hopeless as can be and almost gave in several times. I can't wait to continue feeling better with each and every day. Don't feel discouraged or hopeless, or like the wd will never end- they will it just takes time. Which by the way, is a word I have hated all week until today! This place has truly changed my life and I am so grateful for everyone who encouraged me to stay strong. We can all do this!! I believe in every single one of us and just want you to know that if you are struggling, it gets better and we have all been through it. The end result will be the best thing ever! I know I still have a long way to go, but I am feeling very optimistic at this point and that brings me great joy. I love you all!

Things are going alright, I am finally over the terrible cold I had for the last week and a half. I am feeling a little discouraged, but am still holding on strong. Haven't used and don't plan on it. It's just so hard, but I know it will make me so much stronger as a person and I just have to keep telling myself that. I haven't gone to any meetings this week but that was mostly because I was super sick with that nasty cold, but am going to try and go this week- its not that I don't like the meetings because I do its just committing that i am bad at! I just wish I could hug all of you wonderful souls on this site and tell you in person how grateful I am. Thank you for checking in on me.
