How can I stop crying in rehab?

I am going to rehab today for prescription drugs for about the 4th time.  i always cry and won't talk to anyone for the first two weeks.  as the old people leave and the new ones  arrive, i get less scared and make friends.  but how can i control the fear and crying the first two weeks?  everyone thinks i am nuts and ignores me and doesn't like me and it makes it worse.  but the detox andmy fears and my major depression kicks in and i can't stop.  any coping suggestions?  leaving today-they have a cmputer there. krisssy

The 4th time....  you know what?? good for you, you haven't given up....... I am assuming this is not court ordered and you are wanting to make a huge change in your life by getting sober...   Most importantly focus on YOU and what you need to do to break the pattern of addiction...    I hope you really want this......  because there are so many that don't get the opportunity to have these chances of rehab... Look inside  yourself, of what you have to be grateful for, and what the future holds for you,  and perhaps your tears will subside..

Best wishes to you in recovery..

Crying is just part of the detox, and the people there will understand. Let me suggest something...you mention that this is your 4th time. So, something isn't clicking for you. Why not make a conscious effort to do things differently this time? Latch onto some of the people that have been in there a while. Talk more. Tell them why you're crying. I promise you, the people there are not different than you are. Make this time the last time..I'm rooting for you. God bless....
