Wierd is Good

So today is 87 freakkkken days for me. It is soooo wierd how awesome I feel. I mean no anxiety no depression. Its been 5+ weeks of just solid living. I remember the ups and downs and they are pretty much gone. WIll I have bad days again, I am sure, yet right now I just feel amazing!!! Wierd is the best word for it. To be able to feel so great without drugs is something I have longed for, well for a long a$$ time. People out there, it gets better than better. Keep on going. Your day will come and you will be extremely happy!!! God Bless!!

Sunnyside - Wow, that's amazing and very encouraging.  I am on a tapering plan as we speak and have tapered down to 1/2 pill.  I plan on skipping today but I'm worried about getting sick, not sleeping, shaky legs, etc.  Hope it gets easier...

Thanks everyone I appreciate it. Yes its weird, I remember waking up in the morning it would take everything out of me just to get out of bed. I would sometimes take 1 vikki in the morning while lying down so I had that umph to get up. I now wake up and need to get right up and start my day. It truely is amazing. I have compared alot from my life now to what it was and if I really delve into it sometimes I tell myselfy holy sh@#! I have made a complete turn around. It really is a blessing.

Clean, congrats on day 61 that is absolutely huge! Things will start panning out for you. We all know that this journey isnt about 5-7 days of physical withdrawal. That, to me, was the easy part. Staying clean and either redefyning or finding yourself again is the hard part. I dont know much about the legit pain because I just did the vicodin to have fun... But I hope you can find some relief in alternative methods of pain management. Good luck to you.

thanks for posting.  I hit 60 days clean yesterday, 61 today.  It was a rough day for me.  Rage outburst, lots of legit pain now that I'm not numb, (from wreck/pelvis fracture in 08 and disc replacement surgery last summer)
And tired.
You are an encouragement to me and a lot of others on this post....I know you said you only post on major milestone days, but if anything occurs to you as you grow, live and have experience, strength and hope to share for us out here.  Sometime this community is my mtg.
God's best to you!
