How long for Restless Legs?!

Hi Friends! First off, thank you for all of the support and encouragement you have provided. It has done wonders to an addict like me, who operates in secret and really needs an outlet. You all are wonderful people for helping others with your experiences.
I just have a quick question! I was drinking Poppy Seed Tea (therefore no idea the dose) and/or 2 Percocets a night for over 8 years (clean for a week or two here and there). I've been clean for 10 days!!!! However, I still have the restless legs! I know most of you had a more intense habit and was just wondering how long your legs ache/d for? I figured after 4 or 5 days I'd be gone with the physical symptoms, I just need a guideline. I've been high since I've had growing pains as a teen so I don't know what my body actually feels like.
Thanks in advance!!

congrats on 10 days!  hot baths with epsom salts, or anything salty will help too...i love baths, they were my bestest friend when w/d, and my rls went on for some time, probably 2 weeks total.  good luck to you :)

I don't know how long yours will last, but I can suggest some things to help you.

1. Hylands Restful Legs (or Leg Cramps with Quinine)
2. Magnesium/Calcium Supplement 1000mg at night
3. Hot, hot baths to soak your legs
4. Heating pad on your legs when you go to bed....helps a lot!

Good luck.  RLS is a pain!!!

Way to go on those 10 days now. RLS lasts longer for some members here and everyone is different in their recovery. Have you ever tried hylands restful legs caplets, they have helped some here. Bananas (potassium) and hot baths can help too. Hang in there, it will get better soon. Congrats again on your clean time and keep posting, your doing great.

I think it just depends on the individual.  For me, that's the last WD symptom to go....after 2 or 3 weeks.  But...I've had a problem with RLS since I was a kid, so I have medication for it...thank God!  Cuz they are super bad during WD
