How long will hydro condone withdrawal last???

I am a healthcare professional and I should have seen the signs of this coming...
I started taking norco 10's after my first surgery almost  3 months ago, I had major open stomach surgery and had staples from breast bone to pubic region then 2 weeks ago had another open surgery where they cut right next to the previous one and was again given the norco.
I had such severe constipation, that I stopped taking them. I was taking sometimes 4 at a time 5-6 times a day. Last night was HORRIBLE! I felt like what a imagine a herion addict would while they are going through the withdrawal. Vomiting, chills, shakes, inside burning, insomnia it was so bad I broke and took 2 of them so I could make it through the night.
I am suppose to go back to work Monday and I can't go back while I am taking narcotics. I need to stop taking them but I can't call my doctor as it  is part of the health system I work at. So I would like to know from others how long can I expect the withdrawals to last?
Thanks

I was taking probably 30-45  10/325 norcos and had been taking them for over 3years. I'm at the end of day 3 now and feeling better every min. Follow the Thomas take lots of hot bathes with EPSOM SALT as often as you need. The first day and a half I was shakey and felt like I had restless body syndrome times a hundred then I got Epsom salt and trust me it was like he heaven. Also if possible have someone to be there with you. I think the biggest factor in me getting better is my girl. I hope this helps drink lots of water/Gatorade herbal tea. Take time from work if necessary and get yourself better just say you have the flu. Because when I think about it till this point (day 3) I've had way worse symptoms for a way longer time just from the flu. Might sound crazy but it's true.

You can do this, keep the forum close I find it helps

I took similar doses for about 5-years, but I'm 9-months clean now. The physical withdrawals are over in 5 to 11 days, depending on a few factors.  You can mitigate those symptoms with supplements (see above) and certain Rx meds.  However, during withdrawal, and for an indefinite period thereafter, the mental battle is the toughest.  The opiates trick our minds into thinking we can't feel or function "normally" without them.  You've got to dig your heels in, and be prepared to do anything and everything to keep the pills out of your custody or control.  Get rid of your pills and cut off your sources, or you simply won't succeed for the long-haul.

Best of luck, friend, and keep letting us know how you're doing.

Most people get over the hump in 3-5 days. And after that...it seems many just deal with just the RLS and sleep issues but those too will pass. If you have to be to work Monday then you have 3 days. Can you take a sick day? You can do it but you have to tough it out. Tell yourself its just temporary and you will get through it. If you take some pills to help you get through the withdrawals you are just stepping backwards. Trust me...I know how bad it feels as Ive detoxed from pills AND IV heroin used before. Your feeling like your detoxing from heroin because essentially its the same feeling.

Hi, I am quite new here, only five days out from taking Norco for over 10 years. I would say that the symptoms your having are due to the large doses you took. But as encouragement to you I would think that for the short amount of time you've been taking them, you could get thru most of wd symptoms over the weekend.  I was taking 6-8/day, and feeling much better today, don't get  me wrong, it hasn't been fun, but keeping your mind focused on freedom from them, makes any symptom  worth it.
Don't give up, read the posts here, it has been very supportive thus far. You can get a lot of help from this forum.  You can do it, God bless.
