Hello and welcome. We can't give specific taper advice here, it's against the forum's policy. The best thing to do is consult with your doctor. He/she may not want to hear that you want off the narcotics, but be FIRM and tell him/her that's what you want. If that doesn't work, find one who will set you up on a taper. I was taking about the same dose you are and I came off C/T. It was
not fun, for sure, but the advantage of a C/T is it's over way faster. I'm nont trying to talk you aout of tapering, just giving you my personal experience.
Take care and keep posting.
Hi Welcome - I was a pain mgmt patient also. 51 days ago I tapered myself down from 4 10/350's per day and then stopped. We can't give taper advice here but just use a logical formula for you - I incrementally decreased my intake over a two week period and then just stopped. The decision to jump or taper is your own but you are going to have withdrawals either way so do what works. The idea is to decrease your intake so if you can't work with your doctor just use your head. You can google "opiate taper schedule" or something to that effect and probably find helpful hints.
Recognize there are many "magic cures" out there for withdrawing and before you spend your hard earned money just know that vitamins and minerals aren't a magic cure all - they may help ease your symptoms but they aren't a panacea. The only way out of this is straight through withdrawal and enduring it.
I wish you success!
It's not that much compared to what I was taking but seek Dr. Help. But CT ***** but I have faith you can do this... So my advice is see Dr. or I hope someone else can help.... I just can't control my intake so I had to CT with Dr. Help but I was eating 10-25 10mg aday.. Yeah.... I'm day 9 now.. Keep up seeking help and get off those little devils.... much care, Rick
Worst case senario you could see a pain management doc and again be firm about wanting off. They have things to help withdrawl. Or go to a detox ward and let the take you off safely.
