To Anyone who can answer a couple of questions for me??

Hello everyone again,
It's Nicki143 I have a couple of questions for my mom who is  trying soo hard to overcome her addiction from Ultram! Anyway, She asked me to ask any of you, if any of you've ever been hospitalized due to seizures, just getting way too sick, etc.? And also If I'm not mistaken, I thought I read somewhere yesterday, that they have a receipe for detoxing is that true, and if so what is it exactly? I'll do anything to help her out because she's my mom and I love her soo much! And I can't stand to see her suffering like this any longer. I really like this webiste because it's really useful in many different ways. And all of you seem so friendly, caring, and most of all very sympathetic to each and everyone's needs. Anyway, It would really help me out a lot if someone could right me back and give me some pointers on what I should do.
                                         Thx,
                                         Nicki

Thanks for the info. I'll make sure I let her know about the medications. My dad takes ultram too, but he takes it the right way meaning takes it accordingly responsibly. And he has chronic pain as well. But the funny thing is, he actually only takes about 3 per day, her used to take 5 a day, and anyway he decided to cut down from 3 a day to only one a day. (yea right). Anyway, that didn't last long because he's taking 2 a day now. But my point is is that, if he only takes 2 per day, and feels bad if he doesn't have that, then I can't even begin to imagine how my moms going to feel? Anyway, thx so much for your advice. take care,
                                      Nicki

3-4 times a day is the max recommended dose...if she is taking 30 a day, I stongly reccomend that she sees a doctor, and just tells the truth.

She might have to through Methodone or Suboxone treatment, with that severity of addiction to tramadol.

May God Bless you and your mother, and guide your every way into the right direction!
Love,
Todd

Hey, Thx for responding so quickly. She takes 50mg ready for this? She takes about 30 a day! I am very close to my mom, but I really had no idea she was taking that many per day until a few months ago. I am very scared for her because she tells me all the time, she doesn't think it's even possible for her to ever stop. I hate this drug it's awful awful awful!!! I believe she takes 5 pills at a time six times a day which would make that 30.

Ultram...the same as Tramedol right?

How much is your mother taking?

I take 50mg 3 x daily for pain instead of Vicodin now. It's not narcotic...but I do know from a doctor, that it takes alot for a person to become addicted to this medicine.

Was she taking more than 3-4 times a day?

Love,
Todd
