Hi there! You have to speak to a doc about this. It's one of the only meds that is actually dangerous if you just stop it. You have to taper off of it. The doctor will likely switch you to a longer acting one for the taper, like klonopin, valium or librium. That is the safe way. Please talk to a doc soon, and don't do this alone, OK?
By connecting with your Dr. and getting on a slow and safe taper plan. Benzos should never be stopped cold turkey.
