Get the vitamins as eagle said. They really do help. It takes awhile before the energy comes back. It is so worth it in the end. Exercise really helps too. You are doing great. Just keep moving forward!!! stay strong sara
I think it was about 9-11 weeks til I finally started feeling really good. There were mostly good days...but often I felt very tired and drug out. The end product is so worth it!
If you can exercise...it REALLY helps mood, fatigue and restless legs!!!
KEEP MOVING FORWARD>>>>>>>>>>
I too am off Oxy for about 18 days now and have the same problem of being so tired and no energy. However, if the alternative to this was to go back on Oxy, I would remain tired for a lifetime. Sandianz and SCTrojan7, I am so glad you posted your own experience b/c I was beginning to think I was alone with my lack of energy. If it takes 5 - 8 months, then I'll just continue to take my supplements and wait it out. The alternative is not even an option. I do not even have cravings for the Oxy - -- just very tired. I was on that treadmill for 10 years and have no desire to return to it. Oxy has got to be the most demonic of drugs - -- starts out as your best friend but soon turns on you and becomes your master. Best to you guys. You are doing great.
yea.
i agree with SCtrojan.
im workin on day 6, def have alot less energy than im use to.
but i worked out this morning, and nothing intense either, just force yourself to go out and walk or ride a bike or swim something to get your heartrate up it will DEF help.
even when someones not dealing with addiction/withdraws i constantly hear people at gyms talking about how much more energy they have when they become more active with workouts.
its not gonna be easy the first day or two even the first couple of weeks, but make a goal that regardless how u feel your gonna do "this" (whatever this is for you, for x amount of minutes a day for 14 days). i guaranteee you that after the 14 days your body will be getting use to the workouts and you'll not only have more energy but eventually you'll start thriving on the activity!!!
just keep pressin ;)
I'm exactly where you are and can definitely sympathize with what you're going through. I just got off the Oxy's 14 days ago and have zero energy. My doctor told me that it would take 5-8 months till my energy returned to normal and even though that sounds like a long time, it's a huge relief knowing that eventually I will get my energy back and you will too. One thing that I've found has really helped me is working out. Ya I know, it's probly the last thing you feel like doing but it really will help, especially cardio. Good Luck. If you ever have any other questions or you just feel like talkin to somebody that's going through the same thing you're more than welcome to email me.
nothing works better for RLS (for me) than scalding hot baths
If you are not taking the AminoAcids you need to. Several are specifically intended to elevate level of energy.... all help you. Check out the Amino Acid Protocol listed at right hand side of page under health discussions......and take regular vitamins also ... calcium / magnesium helps the RLS .... as will a heating pad ...
