I need to quit taking viks

well i have been taking vivodins for 1 yr but heavy for the past 5mths. I heard suboxone works good, i have actuslly tried it and did quit for 3 days, so i think that is my only hope. Does anyone else have any others ways i ca quit? I heard tramodal may help to? I dunno but this **** *****! I am getting a referal to a suboxone doc so hopefully that will help.

My advice is to ween yourself off. Take about half of what you were normally taking per day. For at least a week or 2. It all depends on the person as well. From then on just keep cutting your dose in half till you get to 1 pill a day. Then start to spread them out every other day and so on. I wish you the best and I am on the same boat. This is my 1st day, and I have seen the sometimes cold turkey is best for this type of med. I'm not even 24hrs clean yet, and feeling the wd's already. Like you I'm sure....this wont last too long. It already is bad. Prolonging it I read makes it really worse and last a very long time. Good luck to you

be very careful with suboxone ive been off of it for 11- 12 days now and am doin better but alot of doctors dont prescribe it properly, and if used wrong the withdawls can be worse than going cold turkey except they can also last for up to months! so id recomend you research suboxone alot before you start it theres alot of info i wish i knew before i started it that no doctors told me! the health pages on this site have some great info but id just make sure its right for you before you start! i mean dont get me wrong it worked great for me probally saved my life but when not used properly its a very horrible thing! any questions feel free to ask or PM me! good luck
