Ibogaine, I've done some research on it. apparently it was made illegal by the DEA. Schedule 1 same as heoin. "No medical value whatsoever." Then explain why it has a %90 recovery rate from opiate addiction. Sounds like good medical value to me!. I'm currently going through suboxone detox. I may be on this for a while. Fortunately our communist government can make money on that. However their sorry ***** can't make money on a cure. Every Ibogaine study I have read up on has had tremendous success. Unfortionately you need a lot of money (several grand) to get in such a detox program. Our government and doctors have no heart or even care for its people. All they care about is making money. This goes against my religion and what Christ teaches, but I hope every member of the DEA and the US congress dies and goes to hell! (sorry I just had to vent, land of the free my ***).

There has been more than one.  Don't get me wrong, I wish they could stay open with no heat, but technically, it is illegal to use marijuana in the US.  Federal law is more powerful than state law.

you can get ibogaine treatment in ca, like they said above, and you can go out of the country and get treatment with it too. I read a article on it and its supposed to make you trip real hard but it does make it so you have lil or no w/d's. I'd deal with tripping a bit to not go through w/d's for sure. but it's pretty expensive and I lice in fl, so its a lil hard.

I know that Maine and California passed laws making marijuana legal for medical purposes, but it is illegal by federal law in all 50 states.  They had places in San Fran where you could get it, but the DEA shut most down.  They do still pop up.  It is a good step to get it legalized, finally.  I do know that some judges in Marin County, CA ruled in favor of some medical marijuana users.  One of the issues the government has about legalizing it is how to decide what a standard dose is.  They won't agree with the smoking of it because it is too hard to standardize it with the differing potencies and whatnot.  What bullshit!  It should be legal for all purposes, but if a person is dying of cancer, so what if they smoke it?  Someone can go down to the liquor store and buy a bottle of whiskey, which can kill.  But, a person can't smoke marijuana, which can't kill.  I do know that a lot of people smoke weed and go home and abuse their families.  Yeah right!  They do when they are drunk, though.  Alcohol is the biggest factor involved in domestic violence.  If they would legalize it, they would take the crime out of it.  They could tax it and make money on it.....a big boost to the economy.

The DEA shut them down for about a day in San Francisco and then they re-opened.  The board of supervisors in SF picketed alongside the good citizens of SF for local rights to endure.  Which they have.  I have a friend who grows weed at the clinic in Oakland and know someone else who works at the clinic in SF.  Nothing has been closed down permanently there that I know of.

Hi all

I've been a "lurker" for a long time but wanted to make a comment on ibogaine.  After doing some investigation, I decided to send an email to one of the contacts listed on the website, but I don't really expect a response since the drug is STRICTLY illegal - like LSD (my drug of choice in my youth) ... yes, I'm a child of the 70's and early 80's.  I'll post anything I learn.  Quite frankly, it sounds a little too scary even for me.

Anyway, I love you all and have gained a lot of support and knowledge from each and everyone of you angels.

btw, does anyone know what happened to "angst"?

Peace from above

I have heard that Ibogaine is like a "wicked" LSD trip.  But, supposingly you are cured of any addition afterward.  It is very costly, and I believe they are doing it in Mexico.

Anyway, if you go to Google.com, search for Ibogaine, and you will find some answers to your questions.

When I lived in Alaska it was legal to grow (or possess)  a quantity only for your own consumption.  It seemed to be a rather vague law; what if I need a kilo to maintain???LOL

Marijuana is legal in the state of Maine, also, for medicinal purposes only.

OOPs--accidentally hit enter--sorry, back to what I was saying . . . I have never head of this interesting sounding drug, but I do know that if it is a Schedule I narcotic then it IS completely illegal and you can not get it under most circumstances.  The reason I say this is because MARIJUANA is a schedule I narcotic (if you can believe that!!!) and the only place I know of that can prescribe this often helpful drug is San Francisco, CA.  It is the only place in the U.S. that I know of that you can legally get a medical prescription for weed.

Ibogaine is a schedule I substance in the US.  It is completely illegal.  It is supposed to completely take an opiate addiction away.  You go for treatment and once it is over, you are a new person.  No withdrawals, nothing.  There are two places that offer it.  Francois is the person who is the most informed on this subject.  Francois?  They are supposedly studying it right now, but don't hold your breath.

Ibogaine is a treatment for alcohol and drug addiction that is said to be a permanent cure.  It completely takes away withdrawal symptoms and reduces the craving for alcohol and drugs, possibly permanently. It is a one time treatment but some people may need follow ups.  The ibogaine is a root bark extract that has been used in Africa.

Hi--I went to RXlist.com to get some information for you, and they produced no results.  Are you positive of the spelling?  Do you know the generic name?  I've never heard of it in my pharmacy experience (which doesn't necessarily mean anything; just that it isn't very common...)  Is it a new drug?
           Sorry I wasn't more help--Peaz
