In need of support

I have been taking Lortab for over a year now somewhere between 10-15 5/500 a day.  I have hit rock bottom and went this morning to a outpatient rehab.  I did all my intake and UA and now have to be in withdrawl when I go in tomorrow.  Everyone has found out about my problem.  Inculding my parents who I desperately wanted to hide it from but I actually feel empowered.  I don't look forward to today and the mental part of all of this but I can't wait to have it behind me.  I will be starting methadone, yes I have read and tried everything else, I need to do this, then get off it!  I want to be done.....I will be done!!

i hope everything works out for u i cant wait to get over this addiction either and realize how muh fun i had before i became addicted i just try more then ever to not think about it

Welcome and Congrats on taking these steps towards sobriety,, I am 15 days clean of a 300mg hydro habit and this forum has been a big help,, keep posting through this process, rant, rave, do whatever you need to do,, that is what we are here for,, if you have questions, you need support, whatever you need, just ask and someone seems to know just about anything you could be going through,,,

I am now a few hours into this, I have been throwing up, upset stomache, headache--typical withdrawls but I actually feel really good about it because I know I need to deal with this in order to get the actual help I need.  Thank you for your support.  My current plan is to do therepy 1-2 times a week and go with the absolutely lowest dose of methadone.  I can't wait for the future!!

Welcome and congrats you have taken the first step. You need to do whatever works for you. Lots of people have wonderful results with  methadone, some people can go c/t other use suboxone..stay with us, there are lots of wonderful people here to support and help you.  keep posting and read some other threads. good luck
