i know youve been struggling quite a long while and btw, i would never say "JUST" hydro.   "JUST HYDRO" has ruined many many lives and probably 85% of us on this forum have used it. How long have you been on it exactly and what dose? I do know youve been here for awhile and tried quitting alot of times. It may indeed be time to try opiate replacement/maintenance therapy for you. At least you wouldnt continue frying your liver up.  the main difference btwn Sub and Methadone is the SUb seems to be the lesser of the two evils and is a little bit easier to come off of when its time. Methadone is apparently HORRIFIC to come off of and the WDS can last months from what Ive heard here.  However, if you have severe chronic pain (not sure you do, cant remember) then Methadone may unfortunately be your best choice because it helps with pain way more than Sub does (according to people here that have used both).. Do your homework very thoroughly before going on either...research and ask alot of questions. good luck to you

it comes down to one fact... when I'm on 15-20mg of Methadone I do not use.... when I'm not on it I use....

Have you been to an addiction specialist?  I know you have struggled something terrible and maybe the methadone is the answer for you.  Do your research and then make your decision.          sara

you have to change more than your DOC, you have to change you life. Not saying methadone is a bad drug,  but it has potentail to be abused. You need more than drug replacement, you need to get active in some kind of recovery program

good luck tp you, it hurts to see others people suffer, and I do agree the methadone might be good for you, but thats just 1 part of the solution.
