Originally it was designed to be a painkiller but they had issues--it may be somewhat mental who knows but it def worked for me. My symptoms now are just restlessness day and night but I am only 4 days in. It helps all aspects, the energy, the aches, the butterflies in your stomach ect. May not work for everyone. I took two capfulls of the liquid with midol and that kept me moving until my body equalizes (liver function, dopamine levels ect.) Good luck --and no more pills they are stupid--too many things in life to enjoy!!!
Ps no constipation but I ate alot of cereal!!
I try to tell everyone about the wonders of Immodium. It contains an opiate and, although it doesn't cross the blood/ brain barrier, it does hit the receptors. Some people swear by it! It wouldn't hurt to try it for withdrawal symptoms and if you do, be sure to monitor yourself for the likely event of constipation.

Not sure why it works but it does. I have told quite a few people and I would say it helps 75% of them. But you don't take just one. For instance I would take 3 in the morning and then 2 around 1:00 PM and 2 more around 7:00 pm. I took tylenol and advil also. I am still able to use the bathroom because I would take a stool softner, not a straight out laxitive but a mild softner. Never got backed up or cramping from not going. Made a huge difference for me and others. But like I said it didn't help everyone and you need to take more than directed. I also suffer from IBS.
It did nothing for me but well stop me from going LOL
The chemistry of immodium is similar to opiates, is what I've heard. Thats why it works so well.
Really? Like other than just for diarrhea? What all does it help? I've never bought it for wd cuz I have IBS-C and don't get bad diarrhea during wds either. But I'm willing to try anything that helps! Just curious as to with which aspects? Thx!
yes it does, its unbelievable how good it works. A very dear friend of mine went through 12 days of sheer hell with her withdrawls from Vicodin. She relapsed and then next time she stopped i begged her to just try the immodium. She did and she was at work the very next day. She couldn't believe it. I say, try it. If it doesn't work for you then there is no harm. If it does like I have seen it do for so many, well then its onto the mental part which is going to be harder anyways in the long run. I swear by immodium, it was a life saver for her, me and many others!
