Is Lunesta worth trying?

My doctor offered me Lunesta, but I'm not excited about another pill. I haven't slept much for two weeks and wondered if it was worth a try. Melatonin and Benadryl haven't helped much.

Trazadone is a great med that helps with sleep and it will also help w/anxiety the next day after u take it.I remember taking them when I was taking like6-8mg of xanax a day and I quit and took the trazadone to help w/sleep cause benzo w/d is rough and sleep doesnt come easy.Well to my surprise it helped a lot with not feeling like I was gonna jump out of my skin. The only thing is for me((maybe cause I needed it so badly)I slept9+hours the1st few times I took it).

I would avoid Lunesta or any other Big Pharma 'sleeping pill' Not a lot of docs know about it but Trazodone works well for many people. During my rough sleep periods I used Trazodone, Melatonin & Benadryl. Got a decent nights sleep every time with that combo. If you want more info on Trazodone let me know.

Hi weaver! I just got prescribed Lunesta! I have taken it for a few days now. For me, it's not really powerful! I am getting about 6 straight hours of sleep before waking up! That is much better than I was getting! My doctor offered me Ambien, but I've heard horror stories of people doing crazy things like driving while on it! Also, I don't seem to have any dreams, at least not that I can remember! I'm a little groggy when I wake up, but it passes pretty quickly once I get up and about! So for me it seems to be working well! Hopefully I won't have to take it for too long! Hope this helps! Take care!
