I saw you posted another question about kratom. Nobody here will recommend using it. As addicts we tend to always try and find some other drug to get us off our previous drug. The only way to begin recovery and by ceasing use of all substances. The sooner you realize this the sooner you can get on with your life and your recovery. As IBKleen mentioned above, what do you take to get off of the Kratom?
Type in "kratom withdrawals" and read up on it. Although they might not seem quite as severe as some other drugs they are still severe. If it's has opiate qualities how couldn't it be addicting?
Also as addicts we tend to keep digging and digging until someone tells us what we want to hear. We try to use anything to justify our using.
This forum is full of some wonderful people who will bend over backwards to help. Stick around here and you will get plenty of support. Nobody will steer you wrong.
We are here to help when you are ready.
Best of luck.
Brian
Kratom=not recommended!!!
I know the withdrawal is hard---believe me---but you went from something to Methadone and you are are looking for something to get off of the Methadone. What do you take to get off of the Kratom? At some point you want to get clean, I know you do. Ask members what natural supplements they have used to help ease the withdrawal. You can do this!!
Go to : sagewisdom.org/katrom Read the article and it should answer all of your questions. :)
Wow, that was really weird as I just got back from looking at about 10 different websites on Kratom, and come back to find this post! I didn't find much, except that some of the sites claim that in small doses it has an "energizing" effect and in large doses has a sedating effect which has helped people with opoid dependence/addiction. I'd like to more also. One site claimed that it was for focus in people over 40 lol.....
