Need some withdrawal help

Well I have been an addict for about 5-7 years or so now. My drug of choice changed over the years but now is opanas(oxymorphone) and I went into a methadone clinic about 2 years ago. It was really amazing actually I was able to get back to a normal type of life and save money and stuff. But I am in the place where I need to find a new job and I started tapering down. I was on 85mg for 12 months or so and went down 3 mg a week until I got to 13. The went down to 11mg and they kept messing up my order and I stayed on that for about 3 weeks. Well I figured I wasn't feeling very good anyways and I had the will power to go ahead and quit taking it all together. I made it 5 days and ended up using again. That opened the flood gate I guess. I would go 2-3 days and use again because the withdrawal and mental issues. I wasn't ever really super sick but the mental part was horrible: now I haven't used any methadone in about two weeks and I have used 40mg opanas a few times back to back days and then stop. I want so bad to be clean I have never wanted it so bad. I just know I am. It strong enough to not use when my mind starts to go crazy. My question is this. I have an 8 mg suboxone strip and I am going to use small amounts for about 3-4 days(how long I can make it last) will this help me get past the worst of the physical withdrawal ? I am going to a friend MSN house who is a nurse who is going to keep me lock in his house for a week to help me get past some of the mental attacks. I'm just such a wuss when it comes to withdrawal and want to try and make this the easiest possiable to hopefully give me the best chance at making it.

I would go to a detox if I could find one that was cheap/free because I do t have health insurance and have burned through the money I had saved. Any tips on making it through this is greatly appreciated. I'm sorry for the long question.

without intense seeking you may just be habituated  not addicted  like smoking  which takes two weeks of hell  this is when AA can help or good friends   like smoking one cig will do it  one pill will do it  if u get thru 2 weeks and are not robbing stores looking for more  you will be fine

Hey Friend,
Congrats on making this decision. If your friend is willing to do this for you, in my opinion that is better than a detox.
have plenty of tv dinners, Ensure Plus or comparable, vitamins, beverage and a lot of it, and exercise.
I watched HOUSE reruns over and over because it was the only show I could tolerate, not too exciting, not too loud, but entertaining. I rented them from Netflix and burned them and watched them over and over.
I drank Ensure when I couldn't eat, and TV dinners saved my life. I exercised as much as I could, which sometimes was not, and I did chores a little at a time. 1/2 the top rack of dishwasher, then the other half, then half the lower rack, then the other half. I followed advise and gave myself a break, didn't throw guilt at myself, and instead felt pride that I was doing something so good. This was not my fault, it is not ever anyone's fault.
I normally do yoga and chakra work, so I did that, listening to zen sounds.
It was hard, the anxiety monster was horrible, but I beat his ***. I killed him. he kept trying to get me, but mwahahahaha! he didn't. He went away.

I hope to hear more from you soon, and tell us how you are doing, we are here for you.
Hugs,
Lily
