Keeping busy does help, no doubt about it. I try to hit the gym at least 3 times a week to box out all my frustrations and like jersey said, to get my heart rate up. Of course, tomorrow I'll definitely be hitting the gym because today was a pile of **** ontop of a mound of bigger ****. But hey, I'm still sober. I wish you all the best. Hang in there. Day 14 is better then 15 and so on and so on. I'm proud of you.

After week 1 I was trying to exercise but could not fit it in everyday or did not feel up for it everyday. Over the last 3 weeks I noticed that on days when I did get my heart rate up even if for only 20 minutes I felt better all day. I mean 20 minutes in the morning would make me feel better at 7pm. Once I put that together I decided that I could fit in 20 minutes every day no matter what and it is really helping. Today I went to a meeting int he morning and when I was done I was really tired and was going to skip the exercise but my husband said it will make you feel better so I did it and I am so happy I did. Try to find something you like doing or get some dvd's...it will help!
thank you both. the bath sounds like a good idea. I love long hot baths. I was thinking of starting some sort of exercise program. I do believe that would help too, body and mind. thanks again.
I am on day 33 and it deinitely helps me to keep busy as well. I find that there are social functions that I do not want to go to but once I do it helps. I think I want to be alone but when I am I get tired, down, etc. I heard it from Dr. Drew and it is true... addicts should not spend too much time alone. I also find exercise to be the most helpful thing ever!
Hang in there Babe,, It will get better..46 days clean and what a difference from day 13. Try a long hot bath before you go to bed. In Bed imagine yourself on the beach, beautful summer day blowing bubbles in the air..follow each bubble out as far as you can Hope that helps and keep up the sober living
