Its That Time! May 2014 Roll Call!!

This year is sure moving right along. Last month was big...we had some key members celebrate some huge milestones. We had a lot of new members post as well and that's what this is all about. Old and new coming together and offering each other hope and support.  So now kits time for all of us to get together under one thread and share how much clean time you have OR just introduce yourself. You dont have to be clean to post on this thread...you can take this as an opportunity to break the ice and reach out by letting us know who you are. So whether you've been clean for an eternity or are just lurking and thinking about it...we'd love yo hear from you.

forgot to mention that I am new to this wonderful site.  I was seeking information on Fentanyl causing fatigue.  I have been reading all day long.  I was injured falling off of my roof on may 27, 2009.  I broke my back in several places, broke left hip and my pelvis.  I have a physical and mental dependence on opiates that I will likely have for the rest of my life.  I often want to prove to myself that I am not addicted and will try and take a 'vacation' from the medication.  The only med I have never tried this with is the fentanyl.  I am on 50 mcg every 48 hrs.  After about 2 or 3 months of taking it I developed SEVERE exhaustion.

I desperately want to stop smoking cigs.  I think of all the things i have ever done in my life, that addiction is the hardest.  I think I will always have to be on some opiate for the rest of my life, but I am determined to stick to taking it as it is written.  Failed today, will try again tomorrow.

634 blissful (and sometimes not!) days! Gotta take the good with the bad. A day sober is better than ANY day using!

On May 3rd I had 2 years and 4 months.
The last year-and-a-half I've been riding my Harley, enjoying myself, and not counting the days as much - just living. Something I couldn't do when using.
To my MH family, I can't thank you enough. To Acting - a very necessary post. Sometimes we get so involved in living clean (a wonderful thing) that we forget to be grateful as often as we should.

885 Days for me in recovery.  Suffering through a rough acute medical situation and taking pain meds as prescribed (well, less than prescribed) Tapering off benzos successfully.  Totally 1 month clean off zoplicone.  1 month clean off cigarettes (had a year but fell off wagon due to pain and needed a crutch).  Yeah baby.  I'm a work in process but heck, we all are.  Just as long as we are always striving towards LIFE.  Proud of y'all.  And I love you guys

Because of Med Help and the people here I have 76 days clean off methadone and counting!!! I'm hoping to change those days to months once I reach my 90 day goal!!! My addict brain never thought I'd make it. Never have I been more proud to belong to a group. It is with humility that I say thank you for helping me obtain a viable future!!! Together we are strong.
