Hi Chevy-

Congratulations on 8 days!  I can only echo what IBK said above.  When I got clean I tried EVERYTHING.  I went at my recovery full force because I realized my life and my soul was on the line and I would do ANYTHING and EVERYTHING I had to in order to heal.  Your recovery needs to be your number one priority.  Personally, I did Addictions counselling, SMART recovery, CBT and EMDR for my PTSD.  I had a lot of trauma that I needed to deal with that the opiates had been numbing out.  I knew I had to get to the root of what led me down that dark opiate road or I would just end up back there again.
This is true not just for me, but for EVERY addict living in recovery.  Every single one of us on this forum that have significant clean time have engaged in solid aftercare and realize it is a life long journey.  It is not enough to merely stop doing the drugs.  You must get to the bottom of why the drugs took you over in the first place.
Please give this some thought, and try some meetings.  NA/AA are what most addicts find give them the most support.  They are free and put you in a room full of people that have been where you are and all share the same goal- living a life of recovery.
You deserve to give yourself a fighting chance.  It is called setting yourself up for success.
And we ALL want you to succeed.
Think about it.

Congrats on day 8..that is huge!! I strongly suggest that you don't wait to find aftercare that you are comfortable with. It is easy to become complacent, especially in a virtual world, and talk yourself out of needing it. Nothing can replace that one on one help and the accountability that comes along with it. Aftercare is mandatory to healing. Hang in there and best of luck.
