Listen to gnarly! He has long term sobriety:)
Hi...well the first thing to remember about recovery is you DONT take a pill to get there....this drug is just that a drug and like most drugs it has side effects it is perscribed for nerve pain and also for sleep...the sleep thing is a side effect...the best way to get clean is just that clean= no drugs.... we need to get use to the fact that we dont need to run to a pill every time we dont feel like this or that that is what got us into this mess in the first place...........Gnarly
Hi,
I am off Tramadol 16 days now and the anxiety is relentless and sleep very hard to come by. I do know others taking Gabapetin for Tramadol WD for the anxiety and sleep. It helps them but it is also addicting and hard to come off of as far as trying to get sleep patterns back.you have to make that choice. There is a Tramadol recovery room#62, search in upper right area for Tramadol specific with thousands of previous posts to read and relate to. if you search above. Tramadol is a beast and is causing me absolute misery in all mental aspects. From what all the others say and I've read them all there is some relief starting at 90 days out.stay positive and try to socialize. The antidepressant property in the med is what makes it so so mentally challanging. Best to you.
Hey, started out at 2400 mgs in detox almost 9 months ago. This med is old but widely used for many things. People swear by it for nerve ailments of a varying degree. It was prescribe to me for anxiety and general rest. Let's just say I've had many problems during this time but not from Gabapentin. I really can't say how or what Neurontin did for me. I do know it helped but I also feel like it got to me. My feelings are that if your doctor agrees that you could try it at a lower dose and see from there. Just be careful and aware before the dose gets to high. Tonight I'm taking 300 mgs daily and can't wait to rid myself of that. Side effects have not been my friend to most of the medication I've taken the past year. To be clear. I had problems with the pill but I wouldn't tell you not to take it. To many people it has been a good medication..Good Luck to you....ike
I take it for tmj and yes it seems to help me sleep better.mine is 300mg,, but you and your doctor will have to see how much you need. I only take it at nite as this seems to be when my pain starts in pretty badly. Hope I helped
I don't know much about it. My wife uses it for leg pain. I found it very helpful. I seemed to fall asleep much easier.
