Suboxone for pain?

Had a friend tell me that Suboxone was GREAT at treating chronic pain.  Has anyone heard this?  Is anyone currently taking Suboxone for pain.  I have been on Lortab for the past 2 years for pain in my feet and legs due to a bulging disk.  I have tried every thing at walmart but nothing seems to work other than Lortab or Percocet.

I hate taking these pills.  While they do releive the pain I am addicted to them.  I can tell when they wear off..my feet sting/burn so bad I cant sleep.  Anyway...any advice on Suboxone for pain relief would be appreciated.

It is used for pain, however it was such a unsuccessful pain med that opiate addiction was a good plan for it...
I also read horrible things about it from people who took it for chronic pain and some of them thought it really messed them up.. Sub acts differently on the brain and some had bad reactions to it.. increases amount of pain receptors was one.. they no longer could get pain relief.. even with morphine after surgery. It is also similiar to methodone as far as trying to get off of it.. long lingering WD symptoms...

GO to www.heroin-detox.com they have a forum there and in the Buprenorphine forum (which is Sub) there are "stickys" at the top which are posts that are there permanently... lots of info.. look for post by Bupe4pain  he is one of the ones that feels he got screwed by taking this med...
