On and off for the last three years, I’ve been on taking either Vicodin ES or Norcos for my back pain, but this recent injury was the most severe one I’ve experienced.
Couple of weeks ago I decided that my back was finally healed enough to get off the 20 Norcos a day habit. My use wasn't as much for pain as it was to just feel right, so I decided to quite CT. The w/d's were bad, but that I handle well enough. I was doing okay until the third day. The twitching and shaking of my legs was unbearable. I couldn't lie down...ate tons of banana and pop more than the daily recommend dosage for Potassium. Ran and ran until my legs were about to fall off. I even tried drinking. Nothing seemed to work. Because of the RLS, I started using again.
Tired of popping pills just to sleep through the night, I finally had to go see my doctor about it. He gave me a trial package of Requip, and this time, I had a friend give me some Suboxone to handle my w/d's. With Memorial Day coming up this weekend, I figure this is the best time to get off the hyrdocodone.
My question is, will the Suboxone counter the Requip's effect? I'm afraid to ask my doctor because he will think that I have an addiction or question where I got the Suboxone. I heard that once a doctor prescribed Suboxone, it will be nearly impossible to ever get an Rx again if I need it for actual pain. The way I live and play, eventually I will hurt myself again, and I do not want to be cut off in the future.
Any help will be greatly appreciated and it's unfortunate that y'all went through the same issues as I am, but I find comfort in the fact that there is support out there for our problem.
