Lortabs, am I addicted?

For about ten days I have had to take 1 1/2  5 mgs lortab a day.  I have been addicted to pills before so I know it is time to replace it with something non narcotic.  Will there be withdrawal or health issues.  I am so fear based.  I just need some input and someone to tell me I am doing the right thing because part of me wants to take them and part of me doesn't.  But I am ready and willing to stop.  Let me know what to expect.  Thanks

If you have only been taking 1 1/2 of the 5mg for ten days you shouldn't have a problem stopping them at all. Like Trouble said above, you may have a bit of a mental battle but nothing too bad. I think you're smart for deciding to get on something non narcotic. If you have been addicted to pills in the past you know where they will take you. You know how tough the withdrawals can be. I would get rid of what pills you have left asap. The longer you are on them the harder it will be. You will be just fine. You will also be surprised how well non narcotic pain meds work. So make the switch now before you dig yourself in to a deeper hole.
Best of luck to you!

how long ago were you addicted, how much were you taking and of what?

i would think after takin them 10 days WD shouldnt be too bad at least not physically. Let's hope the mental cravings havent been stirred up too much again though. It already sounds like they have been since you say part of you wants to still take them so you definitely need to nip this in the bud before you are into full blown active addiction again. Its good that you foresee this and are reaching out here! Keep reading and posting here!
