CT 6 days off Valiums stick or stay?

I was given .5mg of ativan for 30 days then switched to 5mg of valium for 30 days (60 days total usage)...I have had (1) 5mg valium  and (1) .5mg ativan in the last 9 days and completely off for 6 days straight. My withdrawals are not good of course, but not as bad as I have anticipated. I do realize the danger of quitting cold turkey off benzo, and I am NOT here to advocate doing so, I'm just sharing my personal story and seeking advice from others more informed than myself.

I have been reading around the net and how to handle and what to experience ranges for end to the other. The consensus seems to be among some is to get back on them and taper down from there even with 6 days off, others (including my doc) seems to think just ride it out, I'm eating, working, body aches and stiffness seems to be getting better each day. However, my head is foggy and my "Brain" hurts that's the only way I describe the feeling, I feel out of sorts and unmotivated to anxious, my sleep is so so. Also I am tapering off Wellbutrin 75mg half a pill 1 a day.

Do I find another doc and taper down? I don't want to get worse, I got a important event out of town next weekend, I heard these withdrawals can sneak up on you 2 weeks off and last for years!  
Do I stay on my course of w/d? I also read and was told by my Doc that the window of seizure has passed and just to ride it out.

Any suggestions or experiences would be helpful.

going off benzo C/T is not the way to do it you should be tapered but as long as you have your doctor involved you should be all right the problem is how do you feel??? what your describing can go on for a month or longer till the gabba receptors get firing on there own again this is not going to be aq pleasant experience doing it this way but I spose you can do it just a lot of withdrawal symptoms to deal with good luck and God bless.....Gnarly

Thanks gnarly, is there a way to increase my production of gabba receptors? What about supplements or exercise? Exercise worked for me when I was withdrawing off Vic addiction. 5 days into and within a 1 week I was feeling pretty good.  The thing is I was placed on the benzos for anxiety that I was experiencing quitting smoking, and this is hardest and most difficult to handle, I abused lots of drugs in my life, but was taking the Benzos as described and for such a short time. For the first time I didn't abuse my meds. Karma I guess.

HI I came off benzo also but did the taper it not much better you still get hit with the withdrawals if you go to gnc they can help you with supplements
it cant hurt but I can tell you it was no fun when I went threw it you just got to push threw it you will get better just cant tell you when benzo withdrawals are a whole different animal but im glad your under doctors care worst senero you cant live like this go back on and taper off its a little softer aproch but you still get the withdrawals no to ways about it hang in there keeep posting for support good luck and God bless......Gnarly

What are the likelihood that I will get worse with my withdrawals as time goes by in the next few weeks? I never used/abused benzos before...sorry i was a opiate fan. I think I can do this as long as it doesn't get worse.gnarly I appreciate your honesty , especially about tapering down and still prolonging the withdrawals. So for now I think I am going to keep on posting asking questions (you guys are keeping me sane), and stay the course of this CT, I feel I am to far now to turn back.

with benzos it really hard to say on the brigth side you only used them 2 mo not yr like me hopefullly in a month you feel better take that trip to gnc and see if they gto a supplement to help you out if om not mistaken they cary gummy chews that have gabba in them
