They helped me a ton during wd but be careful not to take them too long or you'll pick up another addiction.

I totally agree with lostnomore - stay far away from benzos - THAT is a detox you don't want.  Don't add a demon into the mix of what you are dealing with.  You could try benedryl or nyquil to help you sleep.

I would stay away, far away, from valium. It will make you foggy and it's very addictive. I don't know where you are in your detox, but if at all possible, use every non-drug method of coping with the WDs that you can. I was using benzos and hydro and oxy. I took valium for the first 2 days of detox. I still didn't sleep, and I started counting my clean days the day I stopped taking the
Valium. I've had a rough go with the benzo WDs, but I've managed. I spent  a lot of time in the shower or bath tub. Hot water was a miracle for me.
