MEthadone Detox

HI,  I am on 70 mg of methadone.  I was on 85 and I have dropped 15 mg in the past 2.5 weeks.  I feel nothing.  I have been on the methadone for 3 and a half MONTHS.  I want off of it NOW.  What is the a quickest way for me to get off of this stuff with out it interfering with school and work?  Is it possible for me to be off of it in a month?  What should I do?  I cannot afford a fancy rehab detox.

Hi,I am on 50mgs of methadone been on this stuff for 2 and a half months,I want to get off. I have been reading up on what I am up against. I plan to educate myself on the best way to do this.I have been reading all the helpful posts on this site, I plan to use all the helpful suggestions,I can find and put together a good plan. If I can be of any help I am more than willing.I started to concentrate on my diet,vitamin intake and exercise.

Hi  well your doing good at the higher doses you can go with bigger drops  always let your body be the final judge in dropping doses this is a slow process if your rush it you will go into withdrawals around 20mg you will have to slow down then at 10mg more just know it is possible to get off this stuff we have a lot of members who have done it right now you need to get on the vitamins go to walmart and pick up a 3 in 1 calcium/magnesum/zinc  take 4 with breakfast and 4 with dinner in a few days this will really cut back on the withdrawals your ok now but you will hit ''road blocks'' that will put you in withdrawals that is normal for doing this your lucky you have not been on it long and your young that will really help you should have a mild withdrawal keep posting for support and check your e/mail..................Gnarly

I don't know SAVAS, but I know a little about methadone. If you have specific questions or want to know how I got off methadone, shoot me a PM or post specific questions on this thread. You are lucky to get off that drug sooner than later, 8 years I lived in done fantasy. Way to go on seeking help sooner than I did. When you pick a post, I'll be watching for your questions.

I'm on day 12 with no methadone, hydrocodone, & I was on it a little over 4 months but 7 years of opaites & whatever. So all I can tell you is I'm so glad I just stopped it. I started trying to taper on my own but I'm just not that strong. All & nothing for me. Please you can do this. Please listen to what everyone has to say. They have so much experience. Take their advice. It will save your life.

I can see how anxious you are, you will get more responses soon. We have a ton of people detoxing or clean from Methadone.

I was on methadone for years and I jumped I wasnt at a clinic, I was sick real sick but i fought through it and worked and did what i needed to do to survive I was sick i wont lie. But I did it...you can to..there is no easy way out even on a low dose you will still feel bad, luckily its only been a few months for you...so maybe not as bad IDK...I hope others can help you more I just know I did it, and you can too
