Starting day 14

Well today is the start of day 14. 2 weeks! WooHoo! I have not taken any vic's since the 11th. I wish I could say that I felt remarkably better but the last few nights have been kinda rough. I got a script for .5 xanax from the dr. at the beginning of this to help cope with the anxiety and it really helped. But in the past couple days I've been trying not to take any or maybe just take a 1/2 when I really can't stand it anymore. The reason for this is that I do not want to become dependent on the xanax. I have to learn how to cope on my own without a crutch. I have never been prone to anxiety or panic attacks before I started taking vic's. I guess my mind switched from one pill to another. I don't have much physical w/d symtoms, just mental. I feel mental at times! :)

Thanks to everyone here for your support these past few weeks. I don't think I could have stuck with it without your support and help.

I remember your day 1.....what a difference there is in you on day 14!!!
Excellent job on cleaning up-a big congrats to you!!!

I think your doing great. I too woould be leary of getting on another pill for longterm. But it sounds like you know what's going on.

Great job on reaching day 14!  It will start to get much easer and the cravings will subside soon. Keep up the good work.
