Question for ALL

Hello All,

This is my first time posting.  I've had an addiction to pain meds, Percocet to be exact.  But I have been sober for a aboutt months now. Feel Great thank you GOD..

My question is this.  For some reason I've been getting headaches.  My doc Prescribed a barbituate and caffeine and acedemiphin.   I think it's called Bu something???  To be honest, they don't really help, because like I said, I think I am getting sinus headaches, and plan to make an appt with DR.  BUT, my question is, I find myself taking a few of these at a time.  They obviously do not feel like a narcotic but I feel good nevertheless.   So I have 40, have taken half, when I'm done will I have issues???  It's my first time taking them.

Hi there and welcome.Congratulatins on your clean time friend!!!The short answer is yes,you will experience w/d's from the barbs. What are you taking ad how much/day?If you know yu plan on stopping, then slowly taper yourself down to minimize the w/d's....and if you know they aren't helping, stop taking them.See your dr. immediately.I know you can stop-you did the percs!!Keep us poseted. Those barbs are every bit as dangerous as anything else...~Anne

Anne is right!!!

They are bad news and every bit as addictive as opiates.  If they don't help, drop them before they become your new drug-of-choice.

Yes you CAN do this, stop now before you are back to square 1.

I hope you heed our advice and know that we are pulling for you,
