Those of you about to go through the mentals...

For those of you getting off opiates and have passed the physicals, day 5 or so, longer or shorter for some, the NUMBER ONE thing I have found to help for the lack of energy, motivation and unpleasantness was excersizing! WOW, this time of day has been the worst for the past 4 days with ups n downs and cravings but I finished a nice 1 mile run about 1 hour ago and I must say I feel fabulous. Thank to dominosara for finally making me get off the couch and thanks to gnarly for the whey protein recommendation. This right now at this exact moment is normalcy and a natural love of life and happiness. This could go away in 10 min and I know I will have more ups n downs but if this is what life feels like once you beat the mental part of wd then just knowing this will carry me through the up n downs! I WILL MAKE IT 30 DAYS! Of course, I got to make it each day first and then my goal of 14 days. YOU MUST EXCERSIZE TRUST ME, BEST THING YOU CAN DO. TRY IT ON DAY 5,6 and YOU WILL see! Also, I cannot stress how important it is to share your secret with someone who means the world to you. I have been abusing them for so many years and tried quitting so many times & NOONE knew except for my wife. Unfortunately, she didnt think I had a BIG addiciton and didnt understand. I finally realized I had to tell someone that I would not let down and that was my mother. Every time I get a craving, like last night, I picture my mother and her belief in me. I am telling you that helps so much with the cravings because as I said before I would rather stick a dagger in my hear than let her down. Anyways, hope this helps some of you when your mental battle begins. In case you are wondering what else could help, I am taking:
Multi Vitamin
B6
Whey Protein 2X a day
Eat a lot and healthy
Black Cohosh-which I dont think I need anymore
St. Johns wart
Potassium

I ride an exercise bike for 1/2 an hour doing 15 km at 6.45 in the morning, then I go back at 8am for my personal training sessions,on Tuesday and Thursday I'm back at 6pm for boxing I can't get enough of the gym,I have also started doing fun runs,I did a 5km and 10km in the last 2 weeks.
Exercise has been my way of dealing with the depression that can come from getting clean.

Domino, what is the best time to excerisize for helping with DT. I know when I worked out regularly, I did it in the morning. Of course, working out regiments are like politics & religion, so many different opinions. Just wondering if I should wait until I hit that ugh feeling or go ahead and knock it out first thing in the morning.
